Kellyn and Solana in the Anime

PEOPLE!!! Are we letting this forum die??! Live, dammit, LIVE!!!

To contribute to its living, here is one of my useless rambling...

It looked like, on the Japanese Riolu episode, Solana was using honorific term when addressing Kellyn, despite our common belief that she is his senior. I did catch her calling him "Hajime-san," and Kellyn calling her "Hinata-kun." There are a few explanations for this...

~That Kellyn is older than Solana in the anime. No one believes this, amiright? xD But I am just stating this here since it IS one of the possibilities. 'kay?

~That Kellyn is Solana's senior in the anime. Meh. Perhaps less incredible than the first, but I do wonder how many of us will buy it.

~That Kellyn and Solana were not familiar with each other prior to the Riolu mission, and therefore are addressing each other via official terms, since as a Top Ranger, Kellyn is Solana's superior.

~That Kellyn and Solana did know each other prior to the Riolu mission, but are addressing each other via official terms since they are under official environment. This one is what I personally go with.

Aneeway, based on this (useless) observation of mine, I came to my own idea regarding the relationship of Kellyn and Solana. I made up that Kellyn has idolized Lunick and Solana from before the time he enrolled in the Ranger School, and always pays them his due respect of a younger Ranger, always addressing them as "seniors" and whatnot. However, Kellyn has risen to the position of a Top Ranger, and therefore, publically, he is their superior. So whenever they are in an office setting, they switch the terms of addressing and treats him as a superior. In private, however, he is the one who uses the honorific when talking to them.

Well, there is my crazy trivial idea typical of a fangirl. ;D My question to you guys is, what is your opinion on it? ;D (Granted, speaking English, we don't even NEED this point, but still. xDD)

Edit: Oh, by the way, I am not familiar with the use of honorific in the Japanese language. So if any of you notice anything I got wrong, feel free to point it out.

I thought it was weird at first when Solana didn't have a vatonage styler, she pretty much a top ranger in my mind ;D But I realized that the Originals should have the original stuff :3

And anotehr thing I snapped at was, WHERE THE HECK WAS PLUSLE?! Solana didnt have Plusle in the rilou mission!

Kellyn didnt even have a partner pokemon! Give him a Pachirisu because thats what he had in the manga, and so Dawn won't be the only one with a Pachirisu *shot* XD

I never pay attention to the terms really XD However kaydeexetherya, I still laugh at when I said the announcer guy said "Pokemon Ninja" in japanese, and you completely corrected me on that spelling XD I still think Pokemon Ninja sounds better XD and how they were saying it

I don't believe Kellyn is older than Solana! WTH?! Solana should be the superior/senoir in the anime, that is ONE of the main reason I said the anime ruined PR!

In my mind, i think of Kate and Kellyn idoliz Solana and Lunick. Since they are the youngsters, but the anime wants to swrew up the ages and completely break that for me and maybe all of us XD

I doubt Kellyn is older the Solana.

He is a higher rank then her is my guess.

I think of Solana and Lunick to be the higher ranks, since they are the first heroes and the oldest XD




Anyone know just for fun, Remember in Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of
Almia, that they said their are 12 top rangers in the world?

So far Sven, Wendy, Keith, Kellyn, and Kate are the only known ones so far.
Other fans(including me) think the other 8 unknown top rangers are Solana, Lunick, Spenser, Elita, Joel, Cameron, and Aria(I don't think Aria is one of them btw) XD

Being a Base Leader doesn't necessarily mean they are Top Rangers. Remember that Barlow isn't a Top Ranger, but is a Leader.

A Top Ranger works independently, without being under the command of a Leader of a Base. I personally interpret that as that they have NO connection to a Ranger Base whatsoever, and only answers to the Union itself.

Meanwhile, a Base Leader also answers to the Union, and most likely ONLY to the Union. Therefore, I have decided for myself that a Ranger Leader and a Top Ranger are two different offices. I haven't decided yet which holds a higher rank, but I am thinking a Leader does, since he/she is the one with the leadership to command a base full of Rangers. If so, then perhaps a Leader can be authorized to order around a Top Ranger by the Union, even though under normal circumstances, he/she cannot.
