There is something I do not quite understand.
I occasionally encounter individuals on the internet claiming to be misanthropes.
However, I would like to pose a question:
Even though we are hidden behind avatars and usernames, are we not still human? The only difference is the lack of appearance and physical communication. In all other senses, we who you communicate with are human.
As such, how could you be a misanthrope? This is defined as a human with a complete distaste or hatred for other members of humankind in general who oft refuses to socialise with them. Misanthropes do not wish to associate themselves with humans. How, then, could you bear communicating with us knowing that we are, in fact, human? The mere fact that we are communicating with you by vehicle of human text should indicate to even the most unfamiliar person that we're humans.
Furthermore, how can you be a Pokemon Ranger fan? Despite the fact that they are animated characters, they are humans.
How, then, can you say that you're a misanthrope?
No, I think it more appropriate to refer to yourself as socially awkward in an environment involving direct communication.
Unless, of course, you're an individual who professes thae hate of humanity through literature and actively seeks to support your views. Then, I suppose, socialising with humans would be necessary.

That is a common - and valid - point. I was expecting it, And I wouldn't pretend that I know how to rebut it.
I wasn't being completely serious. There was once a time I did consider myself a complete misanthrope, but now I think it is quite impossible to be one while BEING a human being myself. It's not only the fact I am using human means and resources. By denying humanity, I will be denying my own identity and existence. So I am undergoing a period of reconsideration.
Even back in the topic, by wishing for more "characters" in the Pokemon cast of the franchise, I am in fact wishing for more "human-like" characteristics in the non-human characters, so... xD

I don't hear it often. I suppose that's because I only know a handful of people who claim to be misanthropes.
I considered mentioning the human activities and resources issue as well as the existence issue, but I was afraid that that might...ah...provoke unwanted results.
Oh, there are plenty of people who claim not to be human as part of their misanthropy...thus justifyng their continued existence and communication with people(i.e. others in denial).

Well, not necessarily. However, that would bring us into an entirely separate argument regarding the existence of typed personalities when attributed to animals or non-human things. However, in light of what we can actually assert, it is safe to assume that you did not seek an increase of pokemon characters out of being better connected with animals.
The idea of a complete misanthrope is absurd. They exist, but being an absoluute misanthrope is impossible, even if one were to commit suicide upon realising this view. Their corpse would remain a human one.
That is not to say that partial ones do not exist. Many people have advocated anti-societal views in a hate for community. However, in acknowledging that you are member of several interactive sites one also must acknowledge that you are barely a misanthrope if one at all.

Other people who need to appear in the anime the most.....
Is Leaf!!! (Girl from Firered/Leafgreen)
Never had an appearance in the yet, and lots of people(including me) were thinking she was also going to make an appearance next to Red, in HeartGold and SoulSilver. But no, she doesnt... sad face..
Okay I just needed to get that off of my chest for a while XD
I also say Micheal(Ryuuto), Wes, and Rui need more respect! Okay ranting has stopped lol

I think Gold/Jimmy, Crystal/Marina, and Silver/What ever named him, should have gotten there own seires.
Gold and Crystal were seen, but Silver only had three seconds of stardom.
And Only in Japanese too. .-.

I think Ash's character is over developed. Its the same old same old with him same gose with team rocket. If any rangers should be in the anime it should Be the ones who were already in it Solana Kellyn Natsuya and Jack Walker. But i think thoses who had not been in the anime but should it be Keith Lunick Kate Minami and all the ranger characters for that matter.

I think Ash's character is underdeveloped, in ratio of the time he's been in the anime. I disagree, I think he's overdeveloped. Think about it; he's seen every single legendary Pokémon thus far, he's apparently some "Chosen One", he very much resembles some random mysterious dude who used a Pikachu to stop Spiritomb and he can use AURA (I hate this one the most ¬_¬ ), yet he has a habit of using his PokéDex to look up Pokémon he's already seen in the past *coughNinetalescoughAmpharoscough*. I think the other Rangers need to be in the anime via their own series. I'd love to see more anime Hastings and I'd LOVE to see anime Keith  But I think those who've only had cameo appearances - i.e. Lucas, Brendan etc - should be in the anime, preferably via an alternate series that has a far wider target audience than just "kids". |

I had enough of Ash after Gen III. Live. Dl lets hope latter on they get rid of him. That is unlikely. There were hopes that the new Black and White anime would feature a new protagonist, but those hopes died when it was discovered that he would remain, along with those imbeciles Jessie and James |
